Melbourne institution. Run by local flying identity Cliff McIver, Hawthorn
Hobbies has supplied many a flyer with everything they need.
Cliff, a Master Flyer himself, has been flying since he was a teenager, and has spent much of the last 2 decades teaching aspiring modelers how to get into the sky. Flying model aircraft can be a tricky business, but Cliff has taken many people from a novice level right through to expert flying ability. Some years ago, Hawthorn Hobbies expanded its range into the world of kites, and has never looked back since. We have become one of the busiest kite stores in Victoria as a result of selling high quality models with the product knowledge to back them up. Many is the time you'll find Cliff flying solo or in a team on this beach or in that park around the city. Cliff has been a member of the Doncaster and Lilydale clubs for many years.
